We are looking for Specialists interested in pursing opportunities to establish themselves in private practice.
Mildura Private Hospital has an expert team of nurses to assist surgical operators in operating theatres, day surgery and inpatient care areas. We assist our Surgeons perform a board range of services including; Orthopaedics, General Surgery including Bariatric surgery, Plastic surgery, Urology, Ear nose & throat, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Oral/maxillofacial surgery, Dentistry, Endoscopy.

How to refer a patient
Any clinician with current Visiting Rights may admit a patient to Mildura Private Hospital, either as elective surgery or an urgent basis.
For assistance with Urgent Admissions contact Karen Woolfe, Director of Nursing (03) 50239875. In Karen’s absence a team of after hour’s clinical coordinators will assist you on this telephone number.
It is recommended that for Emergency Care all patients are directed via ambulance to Mildura Base Hospital’s Emergency Department. It is possible once the patient is stabilised to admit or transfer these patients to Mildura Private Hospital pending diagnosis and suitability for admission with a clinician to care for the patient at Mildura Private Hospital.

For elective admissions your patients should present to Mildura Private Hospital as soon as possible after you have decided they require an elective procedure with the elective admission forms as completed by yourself. Our staff will assist your patient by providing a full booking in procedure and provision of patient information as required including health insurance enquires and any out of pocket fees. Admission to hospital and arrangements for fasting times etc will be established.
