About Dr Jos Jayarajan

A general Urological Surgeon, Dr. Jayarajan brings particular expertise in managing both male and female incontinence, voiding dysfunction, and female urological issues such as pelvic organ prolapse.

Jos graduated with honours from the University of Melbourne in 2004 and completed her specialist urological surgical training in Victoria. She then broadened her experience with two years of advanced training at world-renowned centres in Toronto, Cape Town, and New York. While in Toronto, Jos gained substantial expertise in performing fluoroscopic urodynamics to assess urinary symptoms in both men and women, including those with post-surgical incontinence and neurological conditions like spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s disease, and Multiple Sclerosis.

Dr Jayarajan is highly skilled in the latest treatments for: 

• Stress and urgency urinary incontinence in both men and women 

• Female pelvic organ prolapse, including ‘no mesh’, laparoscopic, and robotic procedures 

• Bladder pain and urgency syndromes 

• Voiding dysfunction in patients with neurological disorders 

• Urethral stricture disease

She is a strong advocate for the use of medical therapies and minimally invasive procedures wherever appropriate. Her surgical repertoire includes intravesical Botox, neuromodulation, midurethral and tissue slings for stress urinary incontinence, as well as endoscopic and mesh-free vaginal procedures for pelvic organ prolapse.

In addition to her subspecialty focus, Jos practises general urology for both male and female patients, managing conditions such as kidney stones, benign prostatic enlargement, and various kidney disorders using minimally invasive surgical techniques.
