About Dr. Andrew Thomson

Dr. Thomson is an experienced orthopaedic surgeon with a comprehensive background in lower limb surgery, serving patients in both the public and private hospital systems in Geelong. After graduating in medicine from Monash University in 1995, Dr. Thomson completed his specialist orthopaedic training in 2006. He then undertook prestigious post-fellowship training at The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard University in Boston, specialising in Total Knee Arthroplasty, and later at the Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre in Exeter, where he focussed on Total Hip Arthroplasty.

Dr. Thomson’s clinical practice encompasses a broad range of adult orthopaedic conditions affecting the lower limb, with particular expertise in hip and knee arthroplasty. His commitment to excellence is reflected in his use of advanced surgical techniques and evidence-based care, ensuring optimal outcomes and early recovery for his patients.
