About Dr. Peter Liodakis

Dr. Liodakis is an accomplished urologist who completed his general Urology training in Melbourne, followed by a fellowship year in Western Australia focusing on minimally invasive surgery. His expertise spans a range of minimally invasive techniques, including laparoscopic and robotic procedures, and he has a keen interest in utilising advanced keyhole surgery to enhance patient outcomes.

In addition to surgical interventions, Dr. Liodakis collaborates with a highly skilled radiation oncology team to offer specialised radiotherapy for prostate cancer, such as Brachytherapy (seed implants). Since joining North Eastern Urology in 2009, Dr. Liodakis has performed hundreds of procedures annually, demonstrating his commitment to both clinical excellence and patient care.

Dr. Liodakis is also dedicated to education, regularly serving as an instructor for Urology trainees at the College of Surgeons and sharing his knowledge at local and international conferences. He has contributed to the field through various publications. 

​

Fluent in Greek, Dr. Liodakis is pleased to offer consultations in Greek for those who prefer it. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys spending time with his family, following a variety of sports, and travelling.

  • Holmium laser stone ablation 

  • Transperineal prostate biopsy 

  • Vasectomy, vas reversal, scrotal surgery, circumcision 

  • Microsurgery for varicocoele repair and orchalgia 

  • Minimally invasive prostate and renal surgery 

  • Treatment of kidney stones 

  • Prostate cancer management 

  • Laparoscopic and robotic surgical techniques

Dr. Liodakis is committed to offering respectful, evidence-based care to all his patients. He ensures that all complex cases are reviewed at multidisciplinary meetings and, when necessary, refers patients for further specialised treatment to achieve the best possible outcomes.
