About Dr. Travis Taggert

Dr. Taggert graduated from Monash University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. His early medical career focused on critical care, working across emergency departments and intensive care units from 2015 to 2019. He joined Ontario Family Practice in 2018 and is now proud to serve as Co-Owner and Practice Principal alongside Dr. Lucy Haymes.

Having grown up in Mildura, Dr. Taggert is also a Lecturer at Monash University’s School of Rural Health, where he teaches medical students in their clinical years. He is the Senior League Doctor for the Sunraysia Football Netball League, creating and providing a private Sports Injury Clinic on Saturdays for the injured athlete.  
 
He serves as an on-call Custodial Medical Officer for Victoria Police and is a Senior Medical Admitting Officer for the Mildura Health Private Hospital. 
 
As a Rural Generalist, he is currently pursuing further training through the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) with Emergency Medicine as his Advanced Skill. 
 
Special Interests:
Acute Medicine, Sports Injuries, Paediatrics, Adolescent Health, Men’s Health, Sexual Health, Pre-Pregnancy Planning, Antenatal Obstetrics.
