About Dr Neena Peter

Dr Neena Peter is a highly qualified ophthalmologist specialising in oculoplastic, lacrimal and orbital surgery. She graduated with Honours from Cambridge University Medical School, UK, and completed her general ophthalmic training at renowned institutions including The Western Eye Hospital in London and the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

Dr Peter has undertaken extensive sub-specialist oculoplastic fellowships across Manchester (UK), Perth (WA), and Auckland (NZ), gaining broad expertise in lid, lacrimal and orbital procedures. She is a Fellow of both the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO) and the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCO).

Her impressive academic record includes 18 peer-reviewed publications, predominantly focused on oculoplastic, lacrimal and orbital surgery. Dr Peter is also a frequent presenter at international ophthalmology conferences, where she shares her latest research and clinical insights in oculoplastic surgery.

Clinical Interests and Skills: 

• Upper and lower lid surgery, including ptosis correction and blepharoplasty 

• Brow surgery 

• Lower lid ectropion and entropion repair 

• Tear duct (lacrimal) surgery 

• Excision of eyelid lesions, including skin cancers, with complex lid reconstruction 

• Management of Bell’s palsy 

• Thyroid eye disease 

• Eye removal (enucleation) and socket surgery 

• Diagnosis and treatment of orbital conditions 

• Botox therapy for blepharospasm and hemifacial spasm
